Digital Music & Sound Arts MA

Digital Music & Sound Arts MA

Digital Music and Sound Arts proudly celebrate the graduation of the first student cohort of the course programme that was launched in Autumn 2019.

During the course of this year students faced sudden and dramatic challenges bought about by the Covid-19 lockdown occurring at a crucial stage of their project development. They responded by exploring new working methods to develop alternative – in some instances novel – production processes to realise final projects that demonstrate to a high level of ingenuity and creativity their ability and success to adapt in extraordinary circumstances.

Following a sustained period of experimental practice-based research, students from the MA in Digital Music and Sound Arts course programme at the University of Brighton in 2020 have created and produced exciting new works (showcased online here) in a wide variety of formats, idioms and working methods, synthesising conceptual design development, critical reflection and application of diverse skills.
